This is one of those articles – or posts or what-ya-might-call-’em – which in some time could either make no sense, or will just plainly be put back to the unpublished state.
If you are reading this, fat chance is that this sexy hunk of paragraph has been wrapped up in a bunch of HTML5 tags – or XHTML5, as I prefer the XHTML syntax.
My personal target is to let the design of this here HTML5 version of the blog develop itself in an evolutionary process and especially a vast learning process. I have no clue on what level browser support is right now – seeing as <section>, <article>, <header> and <footer> tags get rendered inline by default in Firefox 3.5, which seems odd to me – and I have no intentions of testing this in any version of IE, for I shall presume it won’t work anyway.
With that, and my mint statistics in mind, this should only bode a problem to a few of you folks, and I will make sure for you that the content will be served to all browsers in one way or another. As for the experimental horizontal-navigation layout that was on here before, this has been moved to a subdomain. It’s connected to an old copy of the database, because I cannot, for the life of me, find out how to connect them to the same database without taking theme information with it.
For now, welcome to HTML Five – not to be mistaken by the Jackson Five. You can leave your coat in the car.
